In the build-up to the July 4th General Election, our Conservatives Parliamentary Candidates have been travelling across Solihull Borough, meeting residents, highlighting our record on the well run Solihull Council, the Conservative Government's national achievements, and listening to residents’ concerns.
Following the parliamentary boundary changes, Saqib Bhatti, is our candidate for the Meriden and Solihull East constituency. First elected as MP for Meriden in 2019, Saqib has served as the Parliamentary Undersecretary of State for Technology and the Digital Economy. Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst is our candidate for Solihull West and Shirley. He is a barrister at No5 Chambers (based in Birmingham). Previously he had been a surgeon with the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust, and has worked at Solihull Hospital.
Neil and Saqib have been campaigning for local priorities, including keeping Solihull Police Station open, bringing back the A&E at Solihull Hospital, regenerating our high streets and Town Centre, taking action on illegal encampments on our green spaces in Solihull, and promoting businesses, jobs and apprenticeships for local people.
Both Candidates' teams are out across Solihull Borough daily. If you would like to get in touch, please contact info@sbconservatives.co.uk
